Its a sad memory when we think about past friends who once were close but now they have turned away from us and we no longer speak to each other.
Its even sadder because we tried to make amends,
we tried to come to an understanding,
but the other person refused to listen.
They refused to hear words coming straight from our heart.
Its a tragic event when one of you wants peace, restoration and fellowship while the other is filled with anger, hatred, resentment and bitterness...
A voice that once caused rejoicing and good warm feelings now holds a memory of sadness.
What happened?
A heart grew hard.
Yes, it is hard and getting harder in this world to try to make peace with someone because the heart grows cold...No plumb line for truth anymore in most places.....Only the Word of God is truth and most people don't want that either...lies seem less threatening to people..makes them feel good about themselves...so,the heart is hard to the wonderful truth of God's Word.
